OVERVIEW

Nordstens Hus is the former headquarters of Nordstens, one of Denmark's historic agricultural machinery companies. The building has been carefully renovated — respecting its history while introducing modern solutions — and now houses an office hotel, a bistro, a bar, a store, an event space, and a courtyard at the heart of it all. The old branding only spoke to the office hotel, creating a mismatch every time the full house came up. The rebrand gave the whole building an identity that could speak for everything under its roof.

APPROACH

We started with the building itself. The logo is a flat drawing of the house — a deliberate act of praise for a building that has earned it. The visual identity is rooted in the old story: the history, the materiality, the weight of a place that has been something for a long time. Built to feel like the house looks — considered, unhurried, and true to where it comes from.

Stance Works/ Brand

One identity for a building that holds many things

The problem wasn't the design — it was the scope. Branding only the office hotel left everything else without a voice. The rebrand gave the whole building a single, coherent identity that could speak for the bistro, the bar, the store, the event space, and the courtyard without any of them feeling like an afterthought.

Identity

A logo that praises the building it belongs to

The logo is a flat drawing of Nordstens Hus itself — not a symbol or an abstraction, but the actual building. It was the right call for a place with this much history. The identity earned its visual language by being honest about where it comes from.

Visual Direction

True to the old story, fit for what it is now

The visual language draws from the materiality and history of the building — considered, unhurried, grounded. Modern where it needs to be, but never at the expense of the character that makes the place worth being in.

Stance Works/ Digital

A website that gives every part of the building its due

When the brand only covered the office hotel, the website had the same problem. The new site was built to represent the full house — office hotel, bistro, bar, store, event space, and the courtyard that ties it all together.

Website

One address for everything happening inside

The architecture of the site mirrors the building: each space gets its own room, but everything feels connected. Visitors can find what they are looking for without the site ever losing the feeling of the place.
